Pastor’s Corner - October 2008

Welcome to our website!

If you have a church home, I encourage you to become active there. If you do not have church or are searching for something more or something different then I invite you to come check out our little church in the country. To that end, I reckon I’ll tell you a little bit about us. We are first and foremost a Bible based church. By that I mean we dig into our Bibles, we read them, we discuss the Word and most of the sermons seek to explain God’s Word in a way that is understandable and meaningful
for everyone.

We are non-denominational in the broadest sense. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour or if you are honestly seeking a relationship with him, or even just looking for more meaning in your life – you are welcome at Round Prairie. We don’t care if you are or were Protestant, Catholic, or any other denomination – we worship Jesus Christ pure and simple and you are welcome to join us.

We are much like a family and we do a lot of things together. I’m not just talking about “church activities” either - we are THERE for each other. New visitors may find this a little off-putting at first but I think you will find us warm and welcoming.

We don’t put on airs. You can wear what you want to church – jeans and sweat shirt, slacks, dresses – it’s all good and we really don’t care. Compared to God’s glory, everything we own is filthy rags anyway. We don’t make new visitors stand up and introduce themselves; we don’t pass an offering plate; and we won’t pressure you. One comment I hear often from new folks is that we are “real”. Yep, that’s us.
